WG Mayschoss Altenahr | Omega 1868

Omega 1868 is een versterkte wijn, waarbij de alcoholische vergisting is gestopt door het toevoegen van alcohol en zodoende restzoet is behouden. De smaak is edelzoet. Aroma's van zwarte bessen en bramen. De tannines zijn aangenaam en licht. 
Rijping van drie jaar op eikenhouten vaten.
Het druivenras is 100% Regent.
Vergelijkbaar met een Portwijn. Gewéldig in combinatie met chocolade!

The Winzergenossenschaft Mayschoss-Altenahr is the oldest of Germany They mainly produce red wine in the wonderful wine region Ahr. Here, many believe, they make the finest spätburgunder of Germany and this producer should certainly be counted among the best of this area. 

Omega 1868 is a sweet wine, in which the alcoholic fermentation is stopped by adding alcohol and thus retains residual sweetness. The taste is noble sweet. Blackcurrant and blackberry aromas. The tannins are pleasant and light. Aged for three years in oak barrels. The grape variety is 100% Regent.
Similar to a Port wine. Great in combination with chocolate!
